![]() It was great for datalogging things like O2, timing advance, fuel trims, etc. My experience was with an old PALM based tool that updated at over 30hz. You can also activate many things as well - say fuel pump on/off, fuel injectors on/off etc. Its much easier to read than the peake tool - as all the DTC's are decoded with fault frequency. If you have a laptop and money isn't an issue - then by all means. I've found a few bugs in the relatively short time I've used it. It is not OBD-II, so the thought of a 1Mbps CAN-Bus just isn't there. Jay explained that it isn't their tool but rather the communications scheme or protocol that is used in the E39. Technical support was excellent, and Jay from Autoenginuity was excellent in answering my questions about his product. This is not explained in the manual, or on the website. Single sensor readings can yield about 5Hz or so - just don't cross sensor "groupings". ![]() How low? About 0.3Hz.īasically useless to check WOT conditions. I bought the autoenginuity and was dissapointed to learn that the update rate on "live" sensor readings is really low. ![]() ![]() Unless you plan on using it a lot to diagnose sensor readings, I would stick with the Peake Tool.
